Glider Revamp II

Welcome back ya'll!

On a previous post I showed you our vintage glider.

Here it is again in case you forgot.

If you remember, I was thinking about a blush pink paint color.

Nixed.

After consideration of the pool tile colors...

which are a cobalt blue and a turquoise/denim blue... 

I changed my mind.

Imagine that, a woman changing her mind.

I took my tile samples to Sherwin Williams 

and ended up going with...

(drum roll please)  

SW6811

Honorable Blue

First coat is on...

Kids are down with strep throat...

Second coat and pics to follow...

Vintage Glider Memories

When I was a little girl my gandmother had a glider in her backyard.

We would go out and sit in it early in the morning...

Listening to the mockingbirds sing in the trees overhead. 

My grandmother, being the wonderful woman that she was,

 would make up stories of what the mockingbirds were singing to us

I never hear a mockingbird sing...

or see a vintage glider...

...that I don't think of her and her love for me.

This is my vintage pie crust glider just waiting for a paint job.

What color do you think would make her sing?

I'm thinking maybe a blush pink...?
